A recovery pulled from the wrong point bends control arms, tears bumper covers and cracks unibody rails. The driver identifies the manufacturer recovery points first. A recovery that damages the car is not a recovery.

How much does a winch-out cost?

Can I drive away after a winch-out?
Usually yes, if the vehicle was stuck rather than damaged. Our driver will walk the vehicle before you leave and tell you if something looks wrong underneath — a bent tie rod or a torn CV boot from a hard landing is not always obvious from the driver's seat.
Will winching damage my car?
Not when it is pulled from the manufacturer's designated recovery points with correctly rated equipment. Damage happens when a strap is hooked to a suspension arm, a bumper cover or an axle. That is exactly why the driver assesses attachment points before applying any load.
Do you do winch-outs during snowstorms?
Yes, and it is our busiest work of the year. Expect longer arrival times during an active storm because everyone in Metro Detroit slides off the road within the same three hours. If you are in a travel lane or on a freeway shoulder, say so — those calls jump the queue.
